American Black Music Awards Honors Skip Martin with "Living Legends" Award

Las Vegas, NV -- The American Black Music Awards 2007 Honors Skip Martin with "LIVING LEGENDS" Award.
Held on August 26, 2007 at the Cashman Convention Center Theater, Las Vegas, the American Black Music Awards 2007 honored Skip Martin with the LIVING LEGENDS Award for the great contribution to the legacy of music. "We must recognize yesterday's and today's achievers, so we can build tomorrow's leaders", stated Rick Warren, President, The Black Music Association Academy of America.
Other honorees in attendance included Sony Turner of the Platters and Joe Jackson. The Whispers were celebrated for 42 years of music with the LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT Award. Evelyn Champagne King capped off the night with an arousing performance.
The after-party was held at the Fever Nite Club, South Point Hotel & Casino with honoree Skip Martin entertaining the crowd.
