R&B Legend Featured On New Electronic Dance Mix

Skip Martin teams with Electronic Producing Duo Jackel'd Phoenix  (DJ JackEL and Nikki Phoenix) for new single

June 29, 2015 – Quirky is a relative term when you consider a combination like Paul McCartney, Kanye West and Rihanna or 2006’s Grammy Awards matchup of Eminem and Elton John. So it should come as no surprise that music’s Renaissance man Skip Martin is featured on “Two Hearts,” a new electronic dance track collaboration with Electronic Producing duo Jackel'd Phoenix (DJ JackEL and Nikki Phoenix).

The song is a departure from the genres Martin is usually associated with but, he says with a laugh, “I get around. Music is fluid and dynamic and you either move with it - figuratively and literally - or you get rusty. I met Jack in the studio here in Las Vegas and we just clicked.”

“Two Hearts” marks the first time Martin has recorded with a DJ and is featured on both vocals and trumpet. Jackel'd Phoenix’s most recent release “Your Smile” has already had 2.5 million plays on SoundCloud, so other collaborations might be in his future. This single is distributed by Sights & Sounds Productions and is available on [iTunes, Beatport and Amazon].

Skip Martin is a Grammy Award winner, lead vocalist, trumpet player, songwriter and producer who continues to entertain millions around the world as a solo artist and as lead vocalist for Grammy Award-winning The Dazz Band. The former lead vocalist for Kool & the Gang’s achievements include platinum record recipient with Kool & the Gang, platinum and gold record recipient with The Dazz Band, MOBO Outstanding Achievement Award, R&B Song of the Year recipient, six consecutive

top 100 albums, and two top 100 singles.
