Grammy Winner Skip Martin Releases Self-Titled EP
New work features eclectic collaborations
July 31, 2015 – If you played six degrees of separation with all of the talent on Skip Martin’s new singles, you’d not only make it back to Kevin Bacon pretty quickly, you’d bump into people like Jack White, Dizzy Gillespie and Keith Sweat along the way.
“Wanna Dance With You Remix,” the first single off his self-titled EP is a smooth and effortless groove co-written and produced with Producer Walter “Mucho” Scott whose credits include working with Keith Sweat and Ted Riley.
Martin collaborated with Dizzy Gillespie protégé and 10-time Grammy Winner Arturo Sandoval in a remake of The Dazz Band’s 1982 classic “Just Believe in Love.” The song also features 14-time Grammy Nominee Tom Schuman of Spyro Gyra and Stefan Maier, lead violinist with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra.
“Only You” was co-written with Clarence Ross who currently works with the Isley Brothers and Ray J. The song is a classic R&B slow dance groove that inspires romance.
Stefan Gienger, who has worked with veteran music producer, Jack White is Martin’s co-producer on “Holding Hands,” a song with a strong nod to early 80s R&B.
The EP is distributed by Whatevaok Ent./RED a Division of Sony Music Entertainment and available on iTunes.
